Course Overviews

Each course follows Charlotte Mason’s Method for the High School Forms’ Literature and Composition. Students will have several works they are required to read for each term, as well as several other works that the student may choose from to read during evenings and term breaks. Each term will end with a comprehensive exam, constructed in like manner to the exams used in Charlotte Mason’s curriculum.

As every course includes Composition work as well as Literature, there will be occasional assigned essays inspired by our readings in the course, as well as current events and readings from other subjects. There will also be poetry writing, precís summary writings, and written narration throughout.

This years courses will focus on the 1500-1650 Era on Mondays and Wednesdays and the 1800-1900 Era on Tuesdays and Fridays.
